Marmoleum Click Flooring by Forbo - The All Natural Flooring, Green Friendly Floors
Marmoleum Click flooring by Forbo is made from all natural ingredients, harvested and processed according to an environmentally friendly procedure. Marmoleum is made from natural linseed oil, wood flour, rosin, limestone, and pigments. Once mixed, this material is pressed unto a jute fabric. Marmoleum Click floors are then made by taking this material and applying it to a HDF material, with a cork backing. Easy DIY flooring. All natural, and green friendly floors are the healthy choice!
What are my choices for Marmoleum Click Flooring?
Forbo introduced it's first Marmoleum Click flooring in 2005, which had a choice of 18 colors, and used the Unilin Locking System. This classic system allowed you to connect or "click" the tiles together from any side. The classic style is currently being phased out. Once they run out of stock on a particular color, it's gone.
The new Marmoleum Click Flooring was introduced at the 2009 Surfaces Trade Show in Las Vegas, NV the first week of February. This new style of Marmoleum Click features the Valinge locking system. The new style is offered in 16 new colors, along with 8 colors being carried over from the classic style.
Please keep in mind: The Unilin and the Valinge systems are not interchangeable or compatible with each other.
If you already have the classic style installed in your home, and you want to match up or replace the colors, then your best bet would be to buy the classic style before it's gone. If you're installing the Marmoleum click for the first time, or just adding more to a new room, you're better off going with the new style.
